The 400-foot Waimoku Falls is located the end of Pipiwai hiking trail. After 2 miles easy hike, we can see this fantastic water fall. Coming from Japan, I’ve seen so many beautiful water falls but still I was amazed this one. Waimolu Falls becomes Pipiwai stream which forms famous "Seven Sacret Pools" at ‘Ohe’o Gulch right before it flows into the ocean.
Waimoku Falls is known as the tallest waterfall on Maui, and it is certainly one of the tallest, but I feel that there is taller falls somewhere we can’t access. I’ve seen some aerial photos of tall waterfalls, and they looked taller than Waimoku. I would love to introduce Waimoku as the tallest though, it’s also fun to imagine there may be even taller falls in hidden places.
