This is not a major spot but I love it..... There is a path along beaches in Wailea. It took me about 45 minutes walk through with some stops. It was pretty.
This is Kihei side. There is a plant looked like Medusa.
The first resort is Renaissance, which is closed now though. People say they will be timeshare or re-open soon etc.
Left; Ulua Beach, popular snorkeling spot. I saw many people there. Next property is Marriott.
By the way, compare the sly in the two pictures above... I took these two different days. Sky is ugly on the left due to Vog from the Big Island (Island of Hawai’i) and it’s clearer on the right.
There is no sand beach in front of Marriott, instead they have lava rocks (I love it). See sky on these pictures too. We usually can see West Maui from Wailea like the one on right, but Vog blocks our sight like the left.
I went down to rocks. Left is sea salt which was left after water evaporated. Right: A crab in black color just like lava.
After wide Marriott, we meet another big property, Grand Wailea. A bench provide nice rest.....
Right: A popular chapel in Grand Wailea. My friend and a coworker held wedding here. They hold service as well.
Four Seasons is the next resort. Other resorts are opened to beach area but this one is kind of separated with bushes. Covered chairs are protected by bushes too that I couldn’t see people on them.
People enjoy kayaking.....
We can see Makena from this point. That hill is said the last eruption point on Maui.
Fairmont Kea Lani stands at the end of Makena side. Kea means white in Hawaiian so this resort is painted all white.
